Meet Comrade Omotosho Sameeat Adebola, a student leader right from her 100 level days till date.

Date:

Omotosho Sameeat Adebola popularly known as SAMMY, is a student of the premier university of education in Nigeria, Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) from the Department of Educational Management.

According to her, right from her 100 level days, she has been a Head Of Class (HOC) and presently she holds the portfolio of the Vice President of Educational Management Students Association (EMSA), TASUED Chapter.

When asked about life as a student leader, she said that “being a student and also a unionist is a struggle but the ability for you to control these two is an achievement. Also being a student leader had given her more opportunities than being an Ordinary student which she is grateful for”.

She further stated that being a leader, you are the voice of the voiceless, you are expected to represent and stand for students and also being a student too is a complete struggle.
So the ability to put your priority in check is the secret, having time for yourself and the students as well are not something everyone can do

When asked how she manages Student Unionism and academics she said “it has not been easy, at first it felt impossible but she was able to divide her time, dedicating the day to her people and the night for herself

Sammy is currently in her penultimate level in TASUED and we are proud to always create timeout on #TASUEDFINEST to celebrate #OurWomen who are taking up great responsibility to change the world around them
