Shooting Stars Sports Club has confirmed the return of Ayodele Ismail to the team following the resolution of an internal disciplinary matter.
In an official statement released by the club, Shooting Stars disclosed that the player had resumed training with his teammates after formally apologising to the management, coaching staff, fellow players, supporters and members of the public.
According to the statement, the club accepted Ismail’s apology after handling the matter internally in accordance with its established procedures and organisational values.
The Ibadan-based club did not provide further details about the circumstances that led to the player’s earlier absence from the squad. However, the management stated that the matter had now been fully resolved.
With preparations underway for the new season, Shooting Stars said its attention had shifted towards building a competitive team and achieving its sporting objectives.
The club also expressed its expectation that Ismail would remain fully committed to his responsibilities as a professional footballer and contribute positively to the team’s ambitions.
“Our focus is now on preparing for the new season, and we expect the player to remain fully committed to his responsibilities and the objectives of the team,” the statement read.
Shooting Stars thanked its supporters for their understanding and continued backing throughout the period.
Ismail’s return provides another option for the team as preparations intensify ahead of the forthcoming campaign.
