The University of Ibadan, through an official internal memorandum issued on August 30, 2024, has announced a three-week break for students. This break, starting from August 31 to September 20, 2024, is aimed at providing students sufficient time to complete their online registration.

According to the memorandum from the Registrar, the Vice-Chancellor approved the break following discussions with university management and the Students Union. Hostels will be reopened on Friday, September 20, 2024, at noon.

  2. Examinations Rescheduled: The first semester examinations for the 2023/2024 academic session will now commence on Monday, September 23, 2024.

  4. Strict Compliance Required: Students who fail to complete their registration appropriately will not be allowed to sit for the examinations.
  5. Campus Clearance: All students must vacate the university campus by 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
